Why Does H.L.R. Lose FPS More Easily Than T-HOP?

Some users may notice a slight FPS reduction when using the H.L.R. bucking compared to the standard T-HOP bucking.

This is mainly related to the structural design of the H.L.R. bucking itself.

The H.L.R. bucking features a larger contact area,designed to provide better heavy BB stabilization, improved spin consistency, and enhanced long-range control.

As a result,the BB naturally experiences slightly increased friction and resistance while passing through the bucking.

Under these conditions,nozzle pushing depth becomes extremely important.

If the nozzle cannot fully push the BB into the optimal pressure position inside the bucking,the following issues may occur:

• The BB may not be fully seated
• Hop pressure may engage too early
• Increased BB friction
• Reduced air seal efficiency
• Slight FPS reduction


We recommend:

• Allowing the nozzle to push the BB slightly deeper
• Ensuring the BB fully enters the hop pressure zone
• Using a shorter HOP nub to reduce unnecessary pressure

With proper nozzle depth, HOP structure, and bucking setup,
the H.L.R. bucking can still provide excellent heavy BB stability, consistent spin performance, and reliable trajectory control while minimizing unnecessary FPS loss.
